Hello, I'm glad your here. I started a blog as a way to reflect on my own teaching practice and share my ideas with other teachers.
I am in my 9th year of teaching secondary math (middle and high school). I like using tech, conversations in the classroom, and solving problems in multiple ways. I am always seeking to improve my teaching skills.
I am a Desmos Fellow and also interested in 3D printing and social justice in the math classroom.
Hey Ella,
ReplyDeleteHope this message finds you well!
My name is Iris, and I’m the marketing director at OKIOLABS. My company is an EdTech startup, and we just launched our new product: OKIOCAM! It is a USB camera for teachers and students to take photos, record videos and make time-lapse videos.
I’ve been following your Twitter, and I really enjoy your posts—I’m impressed by how well you’ve done with your students! I’m reaching out to you because I would like to talk a little about our OKIOCAM giveaway program with you.
The way the giveaway program works is this: we provide some free OKIOCAMs to teachers and educators to try out. That’s it.
OKIOCAM is designed exclusively for education and highly integrated with Google for Education, featuring deep support for Google Docs, Slides, and Google Classroom. OKIOCAM is a top-down USB camera with an adjustable arm stand. Students use pen and paper for complex math and science, handwriting, and artwork. When students work on complex problems, and produce incorrect answers, teachers need to understand where their process broke down to provide effective coaching. OKIOCAM enables user to record a time-lapse video of all non-digital work, like math homework, then teacher can view the video and discuss the student’s technique.
You can get more product information on our website: https://okiolabs.com/
We send out free OKIOCAMs without any strings attached. You can create a video using your OKIOCAM and any one of the OKIOCAM Apps to demonstrate how you might make use of it. We only hope that you might share a video file (or a video link) that you record with OKIOCAM with us and help us share your great ideas with other teachers.
So would you be interested in trying out an OKIOCAM?
